Delhi University Opens UG Admissions 2025: Class 10 Marks to Act as Tie-Breaker

Delhi University (DU) has officially launched its undergraduate admission process for the 2025–26 academic cycle. The Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal is now live, enabling aspirants to apply for a wide range of programmes across DU’s affiliated colleges.

πŸ†• Major Change This Year: Class 10 Scores as Tie-Breaker

In a notable policy update, Class 10 board exam marks will now serve as a third-level tie-breaker during admissions. If two or more candidates secure identical CUET UG and Class 12 scores, their Class 10 results will be used to decide merit.

β€œTo enhance fairness in admissions, DU has integrated Class 10 performance as a deciding factor in closely tied cases,” shared Vice-Chancellor Prof. Yogesh Singh.

Additionally, the CSAS portal now includes an auto-accept feature, ensuring students don’t accidentally miss out on their allotted seats due to delayed confirmations.
